Dr. Matthew Laudon is President and Founding Chair of the Clean Technology & Sustainable Industries Organization (CTSI), and Founder & Executive Director for Nano Science and Technology Institute (NSTI) in Cambridge, MA. Born in Austin TX, he obtained a Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and subsequently worked at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL), Motorola in Los Alamos National Laboratories and numerous early stage companies in commercialization and partnership development. He has published over 30 technical publications and patents in topics ranging from nanotechnology, semiconductors and microsystems.
Dr. Laudon is the co-founder of the world’s largest nanotech community (NSTI) and multiple conference series, annually co-editing over 4000 pages of scientific and business research for the Nanotech (1998-2007) and Cleantech (2006-2007), TechConnect (2006-2007) which all focus on a community concept of accelerating commercialization of emerging technology into business and society.
