Mike Nasi is a partner with the Regulatoryand Legislative Affairs Practice Group in the Austin
office of Jackson Walker L.L.P. Mike’s law practice primarily focuses on regulatorypermitting
in the air, water and waste arena for facilities in therenewable energy, electric power generation,
mining, steel manufacturing, and brownfield redevelopment industries. Mr. Nasi is active in
state and federal energy policy development on behalf of individual clients andas counsel to the
Biodiesel Coalition of Texas (BCOT), the Clean Coal Technology Foundation of Texas
(CCTFT), the Gulf Coast Lignite Coalition (GCLC), the Texas Coal Combustion Products
Coalition (TCCPC), and the Texas Mining and Reclamation Association (TMRA). Mike
practices before the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Texas Commission on
EnvironmentalQuality(TCEQ), the Texas Railroad Commission and the Texas Legislature.
Mr. Nasi authors chapters for the Environmental Law Handbook in West's Texas Practice Series
on Environmental Enforcement, Oil & Hazardous Substance Spill Reporting & Response and
Brownfield Redevelopment and is the Chairman of the Education Committee of the State Bar of
Texas Environmental and Natural Resources Law Section. Mike attended the University of New
Mexico and the University of Texas SchoolofLaw. He received his undergraduate degree from
The University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from the University of Houston.
